About Chaupehra Sahib
Blessings of Baba Deep Singh Ji
Chauphera Sahib is a prayer session held on Saturday and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The sequence includes reciting 5 Japji Sahib, followed by 2 Chaupai Sahib. You can then take a 15-minute break for tea or snacks before continuing with 1 Sukhmani Sahib and 6 pauris of Anand Sahib, finishing with Ardas.
This practice is observed every Sunday at Shaheedan Sahib Gurdwara (Baba Deep Singh Ji) in Amritsar. The term 'Chupehra' in Punjabi means 'protection' or 'shield,' and 'Sahib' is a term of respect. Thus, the prayer serves as a request for divine protection and guidance for the well-being of the reciter.
If you are in India and can visit the Gurdwara every Sunday, it is encouraged. However, if you are abroad or unable to visit the Gurdwara, you can perform the prayers at home. This initiative aims to help the sangat (community) and individuals connect with the divine power of Chaupehra Sahib, with the blessings of Baba Deep Singh Ji.

Witnessing this, a young Sikh soldier reminded Baba Deep Singh Ji of his vow to reach Sri Harimander Sahib. Hearing this, Baba Deep Singh Ji rose, balancing his severed head on his left palm and wielding his khanda in his right hand.
